I am a huge researcher when I travel.  I want to be prepared and have a plan so I get the most out of my time on the trip.  Below are resources I have found to be very useful for all the travel details you could want.

www.lonelyplanet.com—great site where you can research and post questions in various forums to get answers like, is there cell phone coverage in the Serengeti in Africa?  The answer is yes by the way!

www.fodors.com—this is the site for a very well known company for travel guide books.  I find their website a bit combersom, everything is in a different page so it can take a while to get what you need, but their have great books.  I tend to order the book so I can mark the pages, photocopy what I need for the trip and take it with me.

www.earthwatch.org—great site for volunteer vacations around the world.
