Here is a list of my favorite spas around the world
Los Angeles, California
Spoiled Day Spa, a great small local day spa. They have all the expected services, facials, massage, manicure and pedicure as well as body wraps and scrubs. It is located in a great area with lots to do, great cafes and shopping.
Bliss at the W. The W Hotel chain has Bliss spa’s and they are great. There are two locations to choose from in LA as well. They are great spas that highlight Bliss products and services.
Happy Feet Encino Foot Massage. This place is great, but probably the busiest of the foot massage places around. http://www.happyfeetsalon.com/
Las Vegas, Nevada
Spa at Encore http://www.wynnlasvegas.com/Amenities/Spas/EncoreSpa One of my top spas in the world. The atmosphere is so relaxing and luxurious. Treatments are top notch. They have amazing treatments, a very large spa with steam, dry sauna, plunge pools of various temps, and all kinds of great showers to try out. You could spend hours here just enjoying these amenities.
Spa Grande at Grand Wailea https://www.grandwailea.com/experience/spa/ My other top spa. The Spa Grande is known for it Terme pools, these are heated individual pools filled with water and special Hawaiian salts that soak in to achieve various health benefits. It’s amazing! You also get a free body scrub as part of the experience. then you head off to your treatment which are truly sublime.
Spa at The Fairmont Norfolk http://fairmont.com/norfolk-hotel-nairobi/activities-services/spa/ A real suprize and very nice. It’s always interesting to go to spas in various countries and see how things are done. This was a small spa, no real amenities, just a steam room and sauna, and hotel pool. The pool is gigantic and deeper than any pool I have ever seen! Make sure you can swim. but great treatments. Very different experience than in the West. Treatments rooms are bright and very sterile feeling, they don’t dim lights and be ready to bare all in front of your attendant. I had a wonder massage with a specialized treatments.
